CDA Preparation Course

The CDA (Child Development Associate) credential is a nationwide program administered by the Council for Professional Recognition. It is a comprehensive self-study program designed to further your early childhood education and define the skills needed to be recognized as a high quality educator and caregiver. Work & Family Consulting  offers this prep course to provide you with an additional 40 hours  of advanced training and to assist you in the successful completion of the CDA credential.

Topics include: Overview of the CDA process, understanding the paperwork, instruction in writing the 6 Competency Goals,  autobiography, compiling the teacher resource collection, parent  surveys, and training in the 6 competency areas.

CDA Observations/Advising

 Completion of the CDA process requires an on-site classroom observation completed by a qualified advisor. Work & Family Consulting has experienced advisors ready to assist you with this final step. The advisor will review your competency goals, autobiography, and resource collection, share suggestions for possible improvement, complete the classroom observation and give you the confidence needed to finish your CDA.
